Tara Ruszkowski is an experienced professional in communications, advocacy, and government relations. Currently serving as Executive Director at The Lamb Center since September 2021, Tara previously worked as Principal at Ruszkowski & Associates, LLC from March 1999 to August 2021, where expertise included designing impactful communications campaigns. Tara also contributed to the academic community as an Adjunct Instructor at George Mason University from September 2010 to May 2017, developing courses for communication majors. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President at Hill & Knowlton, focusing on government relations for energy and pharmaceutical clients, with an international assignment in Prague. Additionally, Tara worked as a Legislative Aide in the Office of United States Congressman Jim Cooper, specializing in Commerce, Labor, and Foreign Policy. Tara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from The Catholic University of America.

The Lamb Center
The Lamb Center is a daytime drop-in resource center for individuals who are experiencing homelessness in Fairfax, Virginia. We provide breakfast, lunch, showers, laundry service, Bible studies, case management, employment opportunities, housing and job counseling, AA meetings, small group opportunities, nurse practitioner services, a dental clinic, and much more. As a Christian ecumenical community of faith, the Lamb Center works on behalf of all people experiencing poverty or homelessness regardless of race, religion, creed, or any other status. The core values of Christianity are central to the Lamb Center's ministry: loving God with all one’s heart, soul, mind, and strength; and loving one’s neighbors as oneself. Together, our staff, Board of Directors, volunteers, and supporters provide a community of fellowship, support, empowerment, and learning together that grows ever stronger in relationship with our guests.
