Pooja Jha serves as the Editor-in-Chief at The Lancet since October 2020, where responsibilities include launching The Lancet Regional Health–Europe, establishing teams, driving partnerships, and showcasing impactful scientific research in global public health and health policy. Prior experience includes serving as Associate Editor at Nature Research, focusing on content strategy and high-impact publications, and a postdoctoral fellow at EPFL, leading research on metabolic diseases and genetics. Jha also held roles at the Medical University of Graz, specializing in NAFLD and metabolic syndrome, and conducted research at the Indian Institute of Science. Jha holds a Master of Science in Medical Molecular Biology & Human Genetics from Manipal Academy and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology from Mount Carmel College.
