Gianmatteo Costanza

Co-Founder at The Laundry

Gianmatteo Costanza has a long history of work experience in the tech industry. Gianmatteo began their career in 2000 as a freelancer for surfEU.com (Switzerland) Ltd, where they worked as a correspondent and web programmer. In the same year, they co-founded 4nexus - the webarchitects, a company that provided web-based solutions for SMB customers and software development for highly specialized applications in the financial industry. In 2005, they completed an internship at AdNovum Informatik AG, where they implemented a Java framework for generating PDF reports. In 2006, they interned at VMware, where they helped develop the Web Center management interface for VMware Infrastructure. Gianmatteo then joined VMware in 2007 as a Senior Member of Technical Staff. In 2012, they moved to CloudPhysics as a UI Architect. In 2014, they joined Apple as an Engineering Program Manager, where they managed cross-functional features that touched a host of areas of the Apple ecosystem. Finally, in 2020 they joined Meta as a Senior Technical Program Manager. In addition to their professional experience, Gianmatteo Costanza co-founded The Laundry in 2013, a creative space where artists, innovators, and entrepreneurs come together to collaborate on projects, experimental art and community programs.

Gianmatteo Costanza attended USI Università della Svizzera italiana from 1999 to 2000, studying Communication Studies. Gianmatteo then attended ETH Zürich from 2000 to 2007, where they earned a MS in Computer Science.
