Dr. Kendra Washington-Bass serves as a National Designer and Facilitator at The Leadership Academy since October 2022, after a distinguished career in educational leadership at Gwinnett County Public Schools, where Dr. Kendra held positions as Executive Director and Director of Leadership Development from February 2008 to October 2022. In this role, Dr. Washington-Bass focused on developing culturally responsive leaders committed to student potential. Earlier experience includes serving as Principal of KAPPA II in the NYC Department of Education from September 2004 to August 2007, where oversight encompassed various school operations, staff management, and fostering a positive environment. Dr. Washington-Bass also held roles as Director and Teacher at KAPPA III, and as a Teacher at Community School 6, contributing to a robust educational background. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Film from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Science in Urban and Multicultural Education from the University of Mount Saint Vincent, an Educational Specialist degree, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, both from Mercer University.
