Begum Yilmaz has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Begum began their career as a Grade Level Coordinator and Elementary School Teacher at Bilkent Laboratory & International School from 2004 to 2009. Begum later worked as a Marketing Intern at Allstate in 2012 before transitioning to the role of Marketing Communications Coordinator at On Demand Digital Paper. In this position, they led the market launch of new products and implemented successful marketing and advertising strategies.
In 2013, Begum joined Optimum7.com as a Lead Project Manager and Operations Manager. Begum contributed to improving operational practices, created efficient processes, and managed recruitment. Begum also supervised web design and custom programming projects, as well as oversaw SEO, email, and paid search advertising campaigns.
Begum then joined Acadaca in 2016, initially as a Senior Project Manager and later as a Product Manager. Begum oversaw the implementation of proprietary products on e-commerce client sites and managed project scope, timeline, and resource allocation for various fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle brands.
Begum returned to Optimum7.com in 2020 as Chief Operating Officer, working directly with the CEO to scale up the business and implement processes and systems to support the company's strategic plans. Begum also collaborated with the accounting team and department heads to optimize financial reporting.
Currently, Begum holds the position of Head of Digital Product Development at The Leading Hotels of the World, where they are responsible for designing and managing the development of the booking engine for luxury hotels. Begum conducts audits and provides recommendations to enhance the user experience.

Begum Yilmaz, CPM, MBA has a diverse education history that spans across various institutions and fields of study. Begum obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Marketing/International Business from Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business, completing their degree between 2011 and 2013. Prior to their MBA, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) in Educational Administration from Ankara University. Their undergraduate studies were completed at Hacettepe University, where they received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Primary Education.
Additionally, Begum has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills and knowledge. Begum completed the "Strategy Execution" program offered by Harvard Business School Online in March 2022. In May 2020, they successfully completed the "Data Analytics for Business Professionals" and "Visio 2019 Essential Training" courses, both provided by LinkedIn. In the same year, they also earned certifications in "Becoming an AI-First Product Leader" and "Strategic Thinking" from LinkedIn. Furthermore, in August 2019, they became a Certified Product Manager through the AIPMM (The Association of International Product Marketing and Management).
