Rossi Setchi

Rossi Setchi is a distinguished academic and expert in engineering, currently serving as a Fellow at the Learned Society of Wales since April 2023. With extensive experience at the EPSRC and the European Commission as an Expert and Evaluator respectively since 2001, Rossi has held multiple significant roles at Cardiff University since 1999, including Professor, Director of the Research Centre in AI, Robotics and Human-Machine Systems, and Director of the Institute of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. Notable leadership experiences include directing the ASTUTE 2020 Cardiff initiative and leading the High Value Manufacturing Group. Education includes a PhD in Engineering from Cardiff University and a Master of Engineering in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering.
