Kendi Rainwater

Kendi Rainwater serves as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer at The Legal Aid Society and previously held multiple leadership roles at the NYC Department of Education, including Senior Executive Director of the Division of Budget Operations and Review, Chief of Staff, and Manager of Operations and Policy. Prior experience includes positions as Education Reporter and Breaking News Intern at Chattanooga Times Free Press. Kendi Rainwater holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Economics from Covenant College and advanced education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
