Melissa Friedman

Melissa Friedman has extensive work experience in the legal field. Melissa is currently the Director of Child Welfare Training at The Legal Aid Society's Juvenile Rights Practice since March 2020. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Associate at WilmerHale from January 2019 to February 2020. From 2014 to 2019, Melissa was a Staff Attorney at The Legal Aid Society of NYC, where they also served as a Skadden Fellow from 2014 to 2016. Before that, they had a brief stint as a Summer Associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in 2013. Melissa'searly work experience includes being a Juvenile Rights Practice Legal Intern at Legal Aid Society in 2012, a Volunteer at CASA GUATEMALA NGO in 2011, a Litigation Paralegal at Weil Gotshal and Manges from 2010 to 2011, and a Paralegal at Stone, Bonner & Rocco LLP from 2009 to 2010.

Melissa Friedman obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Latin American Studies and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis in 2009. Melissa then attended Harvard Law School from 2011 to 2014.
