Sr. Legislative Drafter at The Legislature of the Virgin Islands

Paulette Frazier-Alexis has extensive experience in legislative drafting and legal counsel, currently serving as a Senior Legislative Drafter for The Legislature of the Virgin Islands since March 2001. Previous roles include Assistant Legislative Counsel and Assistant Legal Counsel, where responsibilities included drafting legislative bills and interpreting laws. Paulette has also contributed to community engagement as a Musical Arranger and Instructor for the Superior Court Rising Stars Youth Steel Orchestra from 2007 to 2016, mentoring disadvantaged youth in playing the steel drum. Earlier legal experience includes positions as Assistant Attorney General with the Virgin Islands Department of Justice and Assistant Public Defender in Kane County. Paulette holds a Juris Doctorate from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance with a focus on Steel Pan.
