Jens I. Madsen

Jens I. Madsen is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in renewable energy and simulation technologies. Currently serving as the Director and Head of CAE at The LEGO Group since March 2020, Jens leads the Computer Aided Engineering department, focusing on injection moulding process simulation and structural analysis. Previously, Jens headed the Suzlon Blade Science Center, overseeing technology development for rotor solutions, and held various leadership roles at Vattenfall, including Head of Wind Power R&D and R&D Section Manager, managing teams across multiple countries. Jens has also contributed to engineering software development at Ansys/Fluent Inc. and Vanderplaats R&D, and served as a research assistant professor at Aalborg University. Jens holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA, alongside degrees in thermomechanics and engineering.
