Melanie Johnson

Melanie Johnson is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in nonprofit leadership and fundraising. Currently, Melanie serves as Executive Director at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a position held since March 2020. Prior to this role, Melanie spent over a decade at the American Heart Association, where responsibilities included serving as Vice-President for North Florida and Greater Georgia Communities and overseeing revenue generation and community development initiatives. With a strong background in campaign budgeting, volunteer management, and corporate sponsorships, Melanie has consistently demonstrated effective team leadership in various capacities, including as Regional Vice President and Regional Director. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from Valdosta State University.
