Susan T. Mashiyama

Susan T. Mashiyama, PhD, is a seasoned medical writer with extensive experience in the healthcare field, currently serving as a contractor at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since January 2018 and as a medical writer at City of Hope since 2016. With a strong foundation in scientific research, Susan held various roles at UCSF from September 2006 to November 2013, including Associate Specialist and postdoctoral researcher. Previous experience includes music leadership roles at the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley from 2011 to 2016. Susan earned a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, between 1999 and 2004, following a Bachelor's degree in English literature from Yale University from 1981 to 1985.
