John Waldron Ed.D is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in organizational development, leadership training, and community engagement, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at The LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada since January 2019. Under John's leadership, the organization has achieved significant financial growth, increasing annual revenues by over $14 million and serving more than 100,000 individuals. Previous roles include Executive Director of The Gay and Lesbian Community Center and Manager of Learning and Development at Boyd Gaming, along with adjunct teaching positions at the College of Southern Nevada and Southern New Hampshire University. John holds a Doctor of Education in Leadership and Management from St. Thomas University and has a proven track record of enhancing workplace culture, developing training programs, and facilitating organizational change across various sectors.

The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada ("The Center"), a community-based 501(c)3 organization, supports and promotes activities directed at furthering the well-being, positive image, and human rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community, its allies, and low to moderate income residents in Southern Nevada. The Center has offered a plethora of programs and services since 1993, including but not limited to: social and discussion groups for youth, gay and bisexual men, transgender people and their loved-ones, seniors and lesbians; HIV and STI counseling, testing and prevention education; free vaccinations; computer and internet access; civil rights advocacy; addiction and recovery counseling; youth and senior drop-in hours; educational workshops; and referrals to culturally competent community organizations – all free of charge. Furthermore, The Center provides meeting space for approximately 130 local LGBTQ groups and organizations and serves over 87,000 people annually.
