Daniel Scales has extensive work experience in the legal field and intellectual property. Daniel is currently the Chief Brand Counsel at The Linux Foundation since May 2021. Prior to this, they served as Of Counsel at Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP from May 2011 to April 2021. Daniel also worked as an IP Counsel at Avid Technology from February 2008 to April 2011. Before that, they were an Attorney at Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP from February 2005 to February 2008. Daniel started their legal career as an Associate at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP from September 2003 to February 2005. Daniel began their professional journey as a Senior Consultant at Ernst & Young LLP from July 1997 to August 2000.
