Eric Searcy

Eric Searcy has extensive experience in IT architecture and management. Eric is currently the Director of IT Architecture at The Linux Foundation, a position they have held since November 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Architect & Product Manager of IT Solutions from November 2020 to October 2021, and as a Senior Architect of IT Solutions from October 2018 to November 2020. Before joining The Linux Foundation, Eric worked at InsightsNow, Inc. from June 2008 to June 2011 as an Infrastructure Architect. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining and managing the IT infrastructure, including deploying and maintaining web, application, and database services, implementing communications and backup/recovery solutions, and managing vendor contracts and security policies. Towards the end of their tenure, their responsibilities expanded to include managing the IT department and aligning it with company strategic goals. Prior to that, Eric worked as a Consultant at Tag1 Consulting, Inc. from March 2008 to July 2008. Eric also gained experience at Oregon State University Open Source Lab, where they served as a Community Systems Administrator from August 2005 to June 2008. In this role, they administered Linux servers for open-source projects, designed and maintained the centralized management infrastructure, and managed LDAP servers and policies.

Eric Searcy attended Oregon State University from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
