John Bryant

John Bryant is an accomplished executive in the gaming industry, currently serving as the Executive Director of the Open 3D Foundation at The Linux Foundation since March 2024. Prior to this role, John spent eight years at Amazon Web Services, where responsibilities included managing teams focused on developing features for the Open 3D Engine, supporting customers with the Lumberyard engine, and overseeing technical programs for various projects. John also held senior management positions at Glu Mobile, successfully producing and directing Unity games, and was a Technical Manager at Griptonite Games, specializing in Nintendo platforms. Earlier experience includes working as a Lead Tech Programmer at Realtime Associates on major console games. John Bryant's educational background includes studies at the School of Computer Sciences for the Army and the University of Alaska Anchorage.
