Charles Marr has a diverse work experience as an architect and design manager. Charles began their career at Mounce-Johnson Residence Remodel/ Addition & Detached Car Barn, where they worked as a Project Designer, Project Manager, and Project Architect from November 2014 to September 2017. During this time, they completed the interior remodel and addition to an existing single-family home and designed a new detached four-car barn.
From 2014 to 2017, Charles Marr also worked at Stange Residence and Second Unit as a Project Designer, Project Manager, and Project Architect. Here, they designed a new 2,200 square foot single-family residence with an 840 square foot detached second unit on a unique site with special soil and flora. Charles collaborated with the California Department of Fish and Game to ensure sensitive development and protection of specific plant species.
In 2017, Charles Marr joined Kwalwasser-Rogers to work as a Project Designer, Project Manager, and Project Architect. Charles designed a new 1,200 square foot one-story detached pool house for an existing residence.
Starting in 2014, Charles Marr worked at Harbin Hot Springs Resort as a Project Designer, Project Manager, and Project Architect. Charles contributed to the master planning and redevelopment of the resort following a major fire in 2015. Additionally, they designed new buildings to replace those lost in the fire.
Charles also worked at Abacus Wealth Partners Phase 1, 2, & 3 Commercial Interior Remodel from January 2014 to December 2021. As an Associate Project Designer, Project Manager, and Project Architect, they oversaw the interior remodel of a building in downtown Sebastopol, California, to create new offices for a financial service firm.
From 2013 to 2017, Charles Marr served as a Principal Architect/ Project Manager at the Denver office of Lars Langberg Architects. Charles managed projects and led architectural design.
More recently, they worked at Darling-Frasca Basement Finish from December 2021 onwards as a Principal Architect and Design Manager. Charles was responsible for the addition of two new bedrooms and one bathroom to an existing single-family residence, along with upgrades to the lower-level living area.
Charles Marr's work experience also includes roles at Crosbie-Carrig Pool Enclosure and Barn, where they designed a new pool enclosure, RV/toy barn, and workshop for an existing residence, and Cape Residence Addition, where they designed a 350 square foot bedroom and living area addition to a home in South Denver. Currently, they are employed at The Lion Project, where they serve as a Principal Architect and Design Manager, working on community projects for foster families in the Denver area.
Charles Marr attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design. Charles focused their studies in the School of Architecture and Planning during their time at the university.
