Peter J. Gerbasi

Peter J. Gerbasi is a seasoned professional in the environmental engineering sector, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Business Unit Head for the Environmental Business Unit at The LiRo Group since October 2007. Previously, Peter held the position of Vice President at the same company and served as Deputy County Executive for Parks, Public Works, and Partnership, after being the Commissioner of Public Works in Nassau County from January 2002 to October 2008. Peter's extensive experience also includes working as a Principal Engineer at Roux Associates, where responsibilities encompassed managing the firm's Environmental Engineering program in the northeast and owning Remedial Engineering, PC, which offered nationwide environmental engineering and consulting services. Earlier in Peter's career, project engineering efforts were focused on water, wastewater, and hazardous waste projects at Camp Dresser & McKee. Education credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Manhattan College, completed between 1981 and 1989.
