Lead Engineer at The Little Car Company

Sam Evans has a wide range of experience in mechanical engineering, aerodynamics, and design. Sam began their career in 2008 as a Design Consultant at Aztech Precision Engineering, where they designed customisable bike parts. In 2009, they moved to Aztech Engineering as a CAD Consultant. In 2010, they joined Oxford Brookes Racing as Head of Aerodynamics, where they designed and manufactured the Formula Student Aerodynamic package for the 2015 car. In 2012, they moved to BMW (UK) Manufacturing Ltd as a Production and Quality Specialist, where they improved processes and reduced waste and rework time. In 2014, they worked as a Technician at Siemens Magnet Technology for a summer internship, carrying out test processes on the magnetic components and overseeing the winding and finishing processes of the magnetic coils. In 2015, they joined Ariel Motor Company as a Senior Design Engineer and Design Engineer, where they gained experience in aerodynamic design, mechanical design, testing, composite mould design, design for manufacture, adhesive bonding, and process planning. In 2020, they joined The Little Car Company as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

Sam Evans completed a Level 3 Module at York College in York UK from 2007 to 2010, obtaining an Advanced Diploma in Engineering. Sam then went on to attend Oxford Brookes University from 2010 to 2015, where they earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Motorsport Engineering.
