Anna Young

Anna Young is a seasoned professional in zoo and conservation science, currently serving as the Vice President of Learning and Impact at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens since February 2022. In addition, Anna holds a position as a Network Partner at EcoLeaders, LLC, since March 2021. Previously, Anna contributed to academia as an Associate Professor at Otterbein University from August 2012 to December 2021, where also served as the Director of the Zoo and Conservation Science Program. Earlier experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at New Mexico State University, Zookeeper at Phoenix Zoo, and Zoo Educator at Reid Park Zoological Society. Anna earned a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from New Mexico State University and a BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona.
