Azy Kia

Azy Kia, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience. They currently work at Lockwood as a Senior Scientific Director, where they have held positions as Scientific Director, Senior Associate Scientific Director, and Associate Scientific Director. Prior to Lockwood, Azy worked at Red Nucleus as a Medical Writer. They also have experience as a Neuroscientist at Thomas Jefferson University and as a Faculty Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, where they conducted research on the development of a new Meningitis B vaccine and innovative delivery system using nanotechnology. Azy began their career as a Lab Assistant at the University of Maryland.

Azy Kia, PhD, completed their education in a chronological manner. From 2002 to 2006, they attended the University of Maryland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. Their areas of study at this institution included Physiology & Neurobiology, as well as Spanish Language & Cultures. Following this, from 2008 to 2014, Azy Kia pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree at Jefferson Health, specializing in Neuroscience.
