James Baker

James Baker is an experienced investment and asset management professional currently serving as Vice President of Investments at The Macallan Group, LLC since June 2021, where responsibilities include underwriting new investments and managing technology initiatives. Previously, as Director at The Ardent Companies from August 2013 to June 2021, James focused on asset management and underwriting in real estate investments. Earlier roles include Real Estate Asset Manager at First Citizens Bank and Trust Company, where leadership was provided for the REO team, and experience at Bank of North Georgia in corporate banking and special assets, handling non-performing loans. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University and a Master of Science in Real Estate from Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business.
