The Mama Assembly
Hi, I’m Gill, founder of The Mama Assembly. I build products, content, and cheeky little movements for tired mums who want more than perfect pastels and Pinterest expectations. At 39, I became a mum. The medical term? “Geriatric pregnancy.” (Cheers for that.) Between birth trauma, feeding chaos, and the slow crawl back to myself, I realised something: Mums don’t need to be fixed, they just need to remember who they are. So I picked up a sewing machine and stitched my way back to sanity. That one tunic turned into heat packs, homewares, t-shirts, and two businesses: Crafty T, and later, Harlan House & Home. Then came Swear Jar Mama, a digital diary of motherhood with no filter and cheeky mugs, followed by Momentum Mama, a toolkit for mums trying to get through the week without forgetting where they put the baby wipes (again) and some seriously funky gym gear. After getting retrenched from my corporate job, I decided to go all in. The Mama Assembly was born, a colourful, honest, slightly rebellious brand for mums who want to laugh, create, and reconnect with the version of themselves they’ve buried under laundry and logistics. This isn’t just about products. It’s about purpose. I'm here for the quiet criers, the rage cleaners, the group-chat lifers, and the ones who used to laugh louder, and are ready to again. Motherhood isn’t a mess to clean up. It’s a story worth telling, your way. And I'm here to help you tell it.
