Kara Horner

Kara Horner has worked in the media industry since 2001. Kara began their career as an Associate Editor at Ascend Media in 2001, progressing to Senior Editor, Managing Editor, and Project Manager, Event Media. In 2008, they moved to Red 7 Media as Managing Editor. From 2010 to 2011, they were Media Director at TheManRegistry.com, where they were responsible for the wedding gift registry, e-retailer and planning resource for grooms. Kara also held the role of Editor In Chief, GroomsAdvice. Additionally, they were Vice President of the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) Kansas City Chapter from 2011 to 2012. Since 2010, they have also worked as a freelance editor/writer.

Kara Horner attended The University of Kansas from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.
