Alyssa Schuren

Alyssa Schuren is an experienced leader in public sector management and environmental advocacy. Currently serving as Partner & Public Sector Head at The Management Center since March 2017, Alyssa specializes in coaching, training, and consulting government leaders and non-profit executives to enhance organizational effectiveness. Previously, as Interim Senior Policy Advisor for the Office of the Vermont State Treasurer, Alyssa played a key role in scoping a $25 million clean water funding plan. During tenure as Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation from April 2013 to January 2017, Alyssa directed initiatives to protect public health and the environment, managed significant budgets, and implemented successful cleanup and recycling programs. Additional roles in various organizations, including Development Director at Environment America and Executive Director at Community Action Works, further illustrate Alyssa's commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
