Laurie King

Archaeological Conservator at The Mariners' Museum and Park

Laurie King is an experienced archaeological conservator with a professional background that includes significant roles at The Mariners' Museum and Park since April 2016 and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation from October 2014 to March 2016. At The Mariners' Museum and Park, Laurie held titles of Archaeological Conservator and Assistant Conservator, focusing on the preservation of cultural artifacts. At the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Laurie worked as a Marshall Steele, Sr., Postgraduate Intern, specializing in the conservation of archaeological materials. Laurie's earlier experiences include research and conservation internships at the Catalhoyuk Research Project and the Smithsonian Museum Conservation Institute.
