Tatyana Schum

Tatyana Schum is an experienced communications and advocacy professional currently volunteering at The Women's Center since October 2023. Previously, Tatyana has served as an independent contractor for MARKHAM, focusing on creative activations for advocacy and engagement since April 2022. Tatyana also worked as a COVID-19 Investigations Supervisor and Investigator for the Institute for Public Health Innovation from August 2020 to February 2022, leading a team to combat the spread of COVID-19 in Fairfax County. Earlier roles include serving as the Community Relations and Public Information Officer at Northern Virginia Community College, Founding Radial Outdoor Media, and managing communications for various organizations, including the Quality of Life Plus Program, City of Falls Church, and Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce. Tatyana holds a B.S. in Government and Politics with a focus on Legal Studies from George Mason University.
