Mike Russell

Mike Russell has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities. Mike started their career in 1997 as an Instructor at Youth Challenge and then moved on to work as a Senior Software Engineer at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, specializing in web application development and data warehousing.

From 2008 to 2014, Mike worked at QinetiQ North America, where they served as a Senior Systems Analyst and later as a Technical Director for Software Development. During this time, they were involved in process development, business process automation, and SharePoint administration and customization for multiple Navy organizations.

In 2014, they joined Vencore Inc. as a Technical Director, focusing on software project oversight, .NET, Oracle, and SharePoint architecture and implementation. Mike also worked as a Solution Architect for the Navy's Cyber Readiness Baseline project.

From 2015 to 2018, Mike held multiple roles at AOS, including Design Architect, where they provided software architecture support for state and local government, banking, and medical customers.

Currently, Mike is working at The Marlin Alliance, Inc. Since June 2015, they have been the Director of Technology Strategy, managing re-accreditation processes, integration activities for Navy web applications, and the migration of the company's website, email, and collaboration software.

Throughout their career, Mike has shown expertise in technology solutions, project management, and software development, with extensive experience in SharePoint and Microsoft technologies.

Mike Russell completed their Bachelor's Degree in English from The University of Southern Mississippi from 1993 to 1996. Mike then pursued an MA in Writing Seminars from The Johns Hopkins University, which they completed from 1995 to 1996. In addition to their academic qualifications, Mike obtained a certification in Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in August 2011.
