Akiba Solomon is a seasoned journalist and editor with extensive experience in media and publishing. As a Senior Editor at The Marshall Project since December 2019, Solomon plays a critical role in investigative journalism. In addition, co-authorship of "How We Fight White Supremacy: A Field Guide to Black Resistance," alongside Kenrya Rankin, showcases expertise in race relations, published in March 2019. Solomon has held various editorial positions since 2000, including roles as Editorial Director at Colorlines.com and Managing Editor at Colorlines, with a focus on social issues through the lens of race and gender. Previous editorial experience includes senior roles at Vibe Vixen, Essence, and The Source Magazine. Akiba Solomon holds a BA in Communications from Howard University.
