James Thorpe is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in both medical education and medicolegal consulting. Currently, James serves as an Honorary Lecturer at the School of Medicine at the University of St Andrews since December 2017. Additionally, James has held various roles at the Medical Protection Society since October 2014, including Medicolegal Consultant, Deputy Medical Director (Temporary), Senior Medical Educator, and Medicolegal Adviser. Prior to this, James worked as a Specialty Registrar in General and Vascular Surgery at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde from August 2007 to August 2014. James's educational background includes a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) from Newcastle University, a Master's Degree in Medical Clinical Sciences from the University of Liverpool, and a Master of Laws in Medical Law and Ethics from The University of Edinburgh.
