Shivani Chirkut

Shivani Chirkut currently serves as a Medico-legal Consultant at the Medical Protection Society since February 2021. Prior to this role, Shivani worked as a Medical Doctor in Clinical Forensics at the KZN Department of Health from February 2011 to February 2021. Additionally, Shivani gained experience as a Research Clinician at CAPRISA from February 2016 to October 2016 and was a Senior Scientist at the South African Medical Research Council from 2007 to 2008. Shivani Chirkut holds an MScMed in Bioethics and Health Law from the University of the Witwatersrand (2011-2013) and an MBChB from the University of Cape Town (1997-2003).
