Patrick Spracklen

Patrick Spracklen, PhD, is an experienced professional with a diverse background in data engineering, big data consulting, and software development. Patrick currently serves as the Data Engineering Lead at The Meet Group, where they have been since November 2023. Previously, they held positions such as Senior Data Engineer and Big Data Consultant at the same company. Patrick also has experience working as a Senior Big Data Consultant at Crux Informatics and as a Big Data Intern at if(we). Patrick has a strong academic background, including research in automatically compiling constraint models and improving SAT encodings in constraint problems. Patrick has also worked as an Android Intern at Waracle, gaining exposure to modern software engineering techniques.

Patrick Spracklen, PhD, received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of St Andrews in the years 2012-2016. Patrick then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the same institution from 2017-2022, specializing in Constraint Programming and Artificial Intelligence.
