Kevin Breeze is an experienced hospitality professional currently serving as the Hotel General Manager at The Bedford Swan Hotel and Thermal Spa since March 2024. With a substantial background in event management, Kevin has also held the position of Head of Conferences and Catering Services at Robinson College, Cambridge University from February 2020 to October 2023, and previously served as Venue Director at Kettering Conference Centre and Leisure Village. Kevin's career began with various managerial roles at glh Hotels, progressing to General Manager positions at several high-profile venues, including De Vere Group and Compass Group, where significant achievements included increasing wedding bookings and successfully managing major events. Additionally, Kevin has dedicated time to the Bedford Blues Junior Rugby Club as Chair since 2009, overseeing operations and coaching youth teams.

The Meetings Industry Association
The Meetings Industry Association (mia) is the body for setting and accrediting standards in the meetings industry, they are the owners and keepers of ‘AIM’ an industry wide recognised accreditation scheme which was developed on their behalf and in cooperation with The Best Practice Forum. The specific objectives of the Association in developing an accreditation scheme was to: - improve the quality of the meetings industry throughout the UK. - create a scheme which is totally inclusive of all venues types. - give meetings organisers confidence when selecting their venues. Tourist Boards, Regional Development Agencies, VisitBritain and others are seeking to use AIM accreditation as a means of improving the quality of meeting and conference facilities; raising standards, and growing the size of the business tourism market.
