Darlene started their career at Fred Meyer in 1972, where they held multiple positions, including Accounting Office, Warehouse Office, and Apparel Buyer until 1989. Darlene then moved on to ShopKo Stores, where they worked as a Sr. Buyer for 13 years. In 2002, they joined Mills Fleet Farm as a Sr. Buyer/Merchandiser until 2008. Their most recent position is with The Metal Ware Corporation, where they started as the National Sales Manager in 2008 and was later promoted to VP of Sales & Marketing in 2012.
Darlene Schmitz obtained an Associate's degree in Home Economics from Portland Community College in the years 1971 to 1973. Additionally, during that same time period, they also pursued an Associate's degree in Home Economics & Business from the same institution.
