Zhengyu Fang

Zhengyu (Emery) Fang is a Research Assistant at the Case School of Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, specializing in developing advanced medical prediction algorithms using Transformer models, GNN, CNN, and bidirectional RNNs while collaborating with prominent medical institutions on wearable device data collection. Fang has served as a Teaching Assistant, impacting over 150 students through courses in High Performance Data and Computing, Data Mining, and Bioinformatics. Currently, Zhengyu is also a Research Study Coordinator at The MetroHealth System and has previous experience as an Algorithm Engineer at CCB Fintech, where a screening mechanism was developed using XgBoost and Python. Notable achievements include participation in the Amazon Generative AI Summer Camp, where a fairy tale generation platform was created using AWS LLM. Zhengyu's educational background includes a PhD in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University and a certificate from the Global Business Leadership Program at New York University.
