Galen Brown is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in systems analysis, database management, and custom reporting in the arts and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as Senior Systems Analyst at The Metropolitan Museum of Art since July 2016, Galen specializes in customizing the Tessitura database and enhancing data structures for the Development office. Prior to this role, Galen contributed to the New York Philharmonic as an Application and Business Analyst, overseeing the migration to the Tessitura database and writing a substantial portion of the SQL code for data conversion. Galen's background includes editorial work on contemporary classical music for Sequenza21.com, as well as various positions focused on database administration and music production. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Composition from the New England Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor’s in Music from Dartmouth College.
