Sam Winks

Sam Winks is an experienced professional in museum and exhibition management, currently serving as the Senior Departmental Technician at The Metropolitan Museum of Art since November 2014. In this role, Sam manages the technical needs of the museum's collection of European Sculpture and Decorative Arts, overseeing exhibitions and gallery maintenance. Prior experience includes serving as the Exhibitions and Programs Coordinator at Ballroom Marfa, where Sam directed visual arts and education programming, and a preparator role at the Natural History Museum of Utah. Sam holds an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
