Lauren Costantino is an experienced journalist and educator with a diverse background in reporting, audience engagement, and teaching. Currently serving as a religion reporter and audience engagement producer at the Miami Herald since February 2021, Costantino previously held roles at THE CITY NY as an engagement fellow, focusing on community-driven reporting during the COVID-19 pandemic, and as a freelance reporter for the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange, covering the struggles of homeless youth in New York City. Costantino's earlier experience includes reporting for the Mott Haven Herald, engagement internships, and teaching English at SouthTech Academy, where curriculum development and grant writing were significant responsibilities. Costantino holds a Master of Arts in Social Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and a Bachelor of Science in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Florida State University.
