Gregory Hanusey

Risk Safety Director at The Michaels Organization

Gregory Hanusey has extensive experience in risk control and safety management. Gregory served as the Vice President and Senior Risk Control Consultant at Conner Strong & Buckelew from 2015 to the present. Prior to this, they held various positions at Caesars Entertainment Corporation from 1987 to 2014, including the role of Corporate Director of Risk Control. Greg was responsible for developing and implementing risk control and safety programs for a large and geographically dispersed clientele. Gregory also worked as the Risk Safety Director at The Michaels Organization since 2015, overseeing risk control and safety programs for nine integrated companies. Throughout their career, they demonstrated a commitment to reducing OSHA recordable injuries and lost time incidents.

Gregory Hanusey obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies BS from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, starting in 1975 and finishing in 1979. In 2009 and 2010, they earned an Associate's Degree in ARM (Associate In Risk Management) from The Institutes. In addition, they have acquired various certifications including NTSB Air Craft Accident Investigations from the National Transportation Safety Board in 2007, OSHA Construction Safety and Health 30 Hour from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in December 2006, CPR/AED Certified Instructor Trainer from the American Heart Association in 2006, Food Safety Manager Certification from ServSafe Certified in 2006, Building Inspector HHS (High Rise/High Hazard Specialist) from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs in October 1997, Building Inspector ICS (Industrial and Commercial Specialist) from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs in November 1996, Construction Official (CO) from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs in August 1996, Building Inspector RCS (Residential/Commercial Specialist) from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs in June 1995, Fire Subcode Official (FSO) from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs in June 1994, Fire Protection Inspector HHS (High Rise/High Hazard Specialist) from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs in May 1993, Fire Protection Inspector ICS (Industrial/Commercial Specialist) from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs in September 1992, and Casino Key Employee Type #1 Executive from the New Jersey Casino Control Commission in August 1989. Additionally, they obtained a Fire Official and Inspector (FO) certification from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs in August 1989.
