Amy Banulis

Associate MD, Maternal/Child Health, Women's Health at The Mid-atlantic Permanente Medical Group

Dr. Amy Banulis is the associate medical director for Women’s and Maternal/Child Health for the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group. In this role, she is responsible for setting and communicating regional strategies and developing standardized programs to improve clinical quality, care experience, and access to care for the women and children we serve. She also co-chairs the Appeals and Grievance Committee.

Dr. Banulis received her bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and attended Northwestern University Medical School. She completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Before joining the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group in 2005, she held clinical faculty positions at both Northwestern University and the University of Colorado.

Her prior leadership experience in the medical group includes serving as the physician director of peer review and assistant physician in chief for Quality, HR, Risk, and Patient Safety in the Northern Virginia service area.

Outside of work, Dr. Banulis loves spending time with her three boys who make for a full and busy life, running, and reading.
