Rajiv Misquitta

Dr. Rajiv Misquitta grew up in New York and attended medical school at State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of California at Davis, where he served as chief resident and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He is board-certified in internal medicine and lifestyle medicine. He is the past president of the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society as well as the past chair of the Joy of Medicine committee, where he co-authored a white paper on physician well-being. He was listed on Sacramento’s top doc list for 2017 in Sacramento Magazine.

Dr. Misquitta is the medical director of the Lifestyle Medicine Department at the South Sacramento Kaiser Permanente Medical Center. He has also authored several articles on the topic and is the principal investigator of two ongoing lifestyle clinical research trials at Kaiser Permanente: Health Achieved through Lifestyle Transformation and Resiliency After Cancer. Dr. Misquitta also maintains a medical practice at the South Sacramento Kaiser Permanente Medical Center. He is a certified plant-based chef, personal trainer, and yoga instructor. He has served as the South Sacramento elected director on The Permanente Medical Group Board since 2009 and has been the vice-chair since 2014. He also has served on the board of the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group since 2017.
