Susan Fiorella

Chief Strategy & Communications Officer at The Mid-atlantic Permanente Medical Group

Susan leads capital planning efforts to support our strategy of care internalization and medical excellence. She advocates for and plans new medical centers, supports the maintenance of existing buildings, and oversees the procurement of capital equipment. Susan is also responsible for Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group’s internal and external communications, promoting Permanente physician excellence, better outcomes, and superior care model through digital media, print, and public relations. She also deploys a team of consultants to support strategic efforts across the care delivery system.

Susan holds an undergraduate and master's degree from Cornell University and a master’s degree from Harvard University. Susan serves as president of the board for the non-profit organization Give Lively as well as a board director for the National Hydrocephalus Association.
