Irene Kirkman

Irene Kirkman currently serves as the Vice President of the Board at The Midcounties Co-operative, which encompasses food retail, travel, utilities, and childcare businesses. Additionally, Irene has been a Director with the Mid Counties Cooperative Society since October 2016, contributing to strategic business development and holding roles such as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and Pension Trustee. Previous experience includes serving as Head of Vocational Strategy at the Department for Education, where oversight of vocational education reforms took place, and working as a Strategic Area Manager for the Training and Development Agency for Schools. Earlier professional roles involved consultancy in school improvement and management within Oxfordshire County Council.
