Jim Reardon

Vice President Alternative Delivery at The Middlesex Corporation

Jim Reardon has over 30 years of work experience in the construction industry. Jim started their career at Guild Drilling Co. in 1985 as a Project Manager/Superintendent, where they managed various projects and eventually took on responsibilities in estimating, execution, close-out, and final billing. Their work scope included soil and environmental borings, geotechnical instrumentation, rock coring, grouting, and insitu testing.

In 1996, Jim joined M. DeMatteo Construction as a Project Engineer, working on the Central Artery Tunnel project. Jim was responsible for various aspects of the project, such as cut and cover arrivals roadway tunnel base matts and walls, entrance and exit boat sections, and central garage access road boat sections. Jim also handled tasks like temporary earth support, dewatering, waterproofing, concrete placements, utility embeds, and roadway finishes. Jim later took on roles as a Changes and Claims Manager, where they effectively managed all claims and changes on projects.

In 2006, Jim transitioned to The Middlesex Corporation as a Project Manager, overseeing the construction of roadway and bridge reconstruction projects. Jim also served as an Assistant PM on a significant bridge project. In 2012, Jim moved into the role of Alternative Delivery Manager, responsible for managing and preparing proposal packages, design development, and estimating deliverables. As alternative delivery procurement grew, their responsibilities expanded to include construction management and technical proposals.

Currently, Jim holds the position of Vice President Alternative Delivery at The Middlesex Corporation, starting in May 2023. In this role, they are responsible for managing alternative delivery projects within the company.

Jim Reardon completed their education in a chronological order. Jim first attended Hanover High School from 1977 to 1981, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Jim then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 1981 to 1985. Following this, Jim enrolled at Northeastern University from 2002 to 2006 to earn their Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Specialty.
