JaeKwon Son has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. JaeKwon began their career in 2002 as a News Reporter at The Electronic Times, where they worked until 2006. JaeKwon then joined Munwha-ilbo Daily as a News Reporter from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, they joined Maeil Business Newspaper Co., Ltd. as a News Reporter, eventually becoming the Bureau Chief and Correspondent for the San Francisco & Bay Area(Silicon Valley) from 2016 to 2019. During their time there, they also hosted business forums and covered news events in the US. In 2016, they joined MiraKle Lab as a Board Member, and also became a Mentor at MiraKle51, playing a bridging role between South Korea and Silicon Valley. JaeKwon'smost recent role is as the Chief Executive Officer of The Miilk, a cross-border media, business, and investment platform for South Korea and the US, which they have been in since 2019.

JaeKwon Son earned a Bachelor's Degree in Classics and Classical Chinese, Literatures, and Linguistics from Korea University, where they attended from 1994 to 2002. In 2012, they were a visiting scholar at Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center at Stanford University, focusing on Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia.
