Syrus Henderson

Syrus Henderson, MHA, PMC has a strong background in healthcare management and leadership roles. Starting in 2006, they served as the Clinic Manager for Pediatrics Division at the 633 Medical Group, where they managed a centralized appointments center and educated patients on TRICARE policies. From 2011 to 2014, Henderson worked as the Director of Resource Management Division at Air Combat Command, overseeing a $57 million budget and directing billing and collections programs. Syrus then became the Branch Chief at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, advising the university president and brigade commander on the welfare of joint service staff. In 2017, Henderson assumed the role of Senior Operations Manager in the United States Air Force, where they led unit resource programs and managed a large budget to deliver healthcare to 50,000 patients. Syrus then transitioned to the 55th Medical Group in 2018, serving as the Assistant Director of Operations and Personnel. In this role, they advised the commander on staff welfare and led 10 departments in delivering medical treatment to 45,000 beneficiaries. Most recently, Henderson joined the Defense Health Agency as the Director of Workforce Management, where they provide leadership and direction for the utilization, training, and development of over 4,300 civilian and active-duty personnel.

Syrus Henderson, MHA, PMC has a Master of Science degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Syrus also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Saint Leo University. In addition, they have obtained a Professional Manager's Certification in Organizational Leadership from the Community College of the Air Force. Syrus also holds two Associate's of Applied Science degrees, one in Health/Health Care Administration/Management and the other in Weapons Technology, both from the Community College of the Air Force. Syrus has an additional certification as a Professional Manager from the same institution, obtained in 2011.
