João Dias

Co-founder and Chief Architect at The Mill Adventure

João Dias has held various roles in their work experience. João is currently the Co-founder and Chief Architect at The Mill Adventure since February 2019. Prior to this, they worked at XCaliber as the Chief Technology Officer from April 2018 to November 2018, and as the Head of Development from July 2016 to March 2018. João also worked at Cherry Ltd. as the Software Development Manager from June 2014 to June 2016, and as the Tools Team Leader from August 2013 to May 2014. João served as the Chief Technology Officer at PokerLoco.com from November 2012 to August 2013. Before that, they worked as an IT Consultant at BOLD International from July 2012 to October 2012. João was a Software Engineer at PT Inovação from July 2012 to October 2012. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Web Developer at HaveFun from August 2010 to July 2012. João started their career as a Researcher at IT - Instituto de Telecomunicações from November 2008 to April 2010. João also gained experience as a Co-manager at TecRep from August 2001 to December 2008.

João Dias has a diverse education history. João completed their undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, and Networking from Universidade de Aveiro, studying from 2002 to 2005. After that, they pursued a CET (Technological Specialization Course) in Technology, Computer Science, and Information Systems at Escola Superior Aveiro Norte, during the years of 2007 to 2009.

Before their tertiary education, João attended Escola Secundária de José Estêvão from 1999 to 2002. This was their high school where they focused on Computer Science.

In addition to their academic achievements, João also obtained several certifications. João received their AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and due diligence certification from Arq Group in September 2019. The other certification they hold is the Zend Certified Engineer accreditation, granted by Zend Technologies in November 2013.
