Lydia Garrido Luzardo

Lydia Garrido Luzardo is an accomplished researcher and director with extensive experience in sociocultural anticipation, resilience, and sustainability. Currently serving as the Chair of the UNESCO Chair in Sociocultural Anticipation and Resilience at the SARAS Institute since September 2018, Lydia also holds the position of Associate Researcher at the Instituto Sudamericano para Estudios sobre Resiliencia y Sostenibilidad. Additionally, Lydia has been a member articulator for the MILLENNIUM PROJECT Nodo Uruguay since 2012 and has directed the Laboratorio de Futuros since April 2011. At FLACSO URUGUAY, Lydia conducts research in the areas of innovation, sustainable development, and social inclusion, and has been an active member of the CONSEJO SECTORIAL BIO y NANOTECNOLOGIA since 2011. Lydia holds a degree in Anthropology from the Universidad de la República and has furthered studies at Stanford University.
