David Miller, FAIA, is a Professor in the Department of Architecture at the University of Washington, serving since 1990, and a former department chair. David has played a significant role in architectural education, leading the Architecture in Rome Program on multiple occasions and directing the Mexico City studio. As a founding partner of The Miller Hull Partnership, David has emphasized a design philosophy shaped by a transformative experience in the Peace Corps, highlighting honesty and simplicity while respecting the cultural context of architectural projects. David holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Architecture from Washington State University.
