Karen Florez, CFA, serves as the Manager of Investments at The Minneapolis Foundation since May 2012 and has been a Board Member at CFA Society of Minnesota since September 2009. As a Financial Matters Initiative High School Presenter for Best Prep, Karen focuses on financial literacy. Karen is also involved with the Minnesota Literacy Council as a Board Member on the Thomas M. Kraemer Memorial Education Fund Committee. Previous roles include Trustee and Treasurer at The House of Hope Presbyterian Church and VP & Sr. Investment Manager at Wells Fargo Private Bank. Additionally, Karen held vice president and portfolio manager positions at M&I Investment Management Corp and National City Bank of Minneapolis. Academic qualifications include a BA in English and Advertising from Michigan State University and a Mini-MBA Certificate from the University of St. Thomas.
